About Our Pillows
Everlastings Vintage Handkerchief and Button Pillows are unique home decorative accents of heirloom quality creating new style from pieces of the past. Each pillow is made with vintage handkerchiefs from the early to mid 1950's from collections from the United States, Canada and Europe once owned by those who appreciated the beauty of each delicate square. All the hankies used in our designs are in pristine, vintage condition and are artfully coordinated atop beautiful fine cotton print fabrics and accented with vintage buttons. Pillow sizes are 14. 16. 18 and 20 inch squares made as removable shams for dry cleaning and stuffed with plush feather and down inserts. Our pillows showcase vintage hankies with bright and subtle floral designs, enchanting children's scenes and eye catching contemporary and abstract designs. Exquisite white or ecru handkerchiefs with fine lace work, hand drawn work, appliqués or detailed embroidery are coordinated as white on white designs. Specialty pillows feature a variety of images such as birds or animals, art work of famous painters or other unusual creations by handkerchief designers of the era. Many hankies are signed by famous designers or their companies such as Jean d'Orly of Paris, Collette, Fisba Stoffels, Givenchy, Kreier, Burmel or renowned 1930's artist and designer Tom Lamb. Seasonal and holiday pillow selections are also available for those who like to vary the look of a room and create a mood for any time of year.
